ADOPTED!

Hendrix here.
Because I'm a guy of few words (Wha foster mom? Why are you laughing?!) I just want to make a list for ya that tells a little about me and what I feel is groovy and somewhat important. Here we go...
*I love, love, love to retrieve. I love it so much I'll do it on land, in water, and make these cool catches mid air... It's possibly the best thing ever about life besides chasing cats and birds and eating treats. I could retrieve all day. I like to bring you whatever I've grabbed and show it to you, lay it on your arm, sit it on your leg, and put it in your face for better viewing. I'm a 3-D kinda guy! Sometimes I bring dead things to Foster Mum and she so cool that she actually says "thanks Hen!" but, those things usually disappear, so I have to find something else to bring her...
*I enjoy hiking and walking fields. I run or walk about 2 miles everyday during the week and more on the weekends. If I don't get my walks and romps in, foster mum says I turn into a whineahhhhh... uhhhh...what did you say foster mum???
*Even though I complain about crate time, I don't mind eating and sleeping in there I guess. I hate it when others try to steal my things and food- yeah, I get a little grumpy when they do, but I try to keep myself in check. Foster mum always keeps a good eye on me too and tries to control situations before they make me upset. I'm a pretty easy going guy though, so don't let a little grumpy ruin your ideas about me.
*I love to play and like to play rough. I currently live with three bitchy girl Weims, and a sassy pit bull. There used to be a boy GSP here, too, but he went to his new home. Sometimes I try to get this old guy Weim to play, but he just ignores me. I can't stand prissy dogs and girls and boys who don't like to roll around, chomp on each other, and get dirty. I would love to try to play with your cat or bunny or pet bird-- THAT sounds like a blast! While I don't mind visiting with little kids, they're a bit too small for me and what if I knock them over or they try to steal my stuff? Nah, I'll pass on those things! Oh, and I'm learning that when I play with people it's not polite to use my teeth to grab or nibble.
*If you adopt me, you'll never need to adopt one of those little lap dogs, because I'm a 90lb one! I love to be beside my people and snore sweet nothings into their ears...
*Did I mention I like birds, a lot? I'm finding my point and getting used to gunfire. Foster Mum says I'd be fun to run in agility, but that I have some things to learn first cause I'm a little big and a lot AWKWARD! Who knew I had rear legs? I would totally ROCK at the retrieving tests that the Weimaraner Club of America puts on...hint hint! I've also been introduced to Dock Diving and thought that was pretty crazy, but sorta fun!
*What about my past, you ask? Well, I was found running a semi crazy lifestyle that involved roaming the country side, chasing garbage trucks, and sharing my heart (but it wasn't love) with worms. Some people took me in for a few months, but I tended to be a wanderer, so they called LWR to see if they could take me. Thankfully, LWR hooked me up with foster mum and I've been here since February living the life or riley... I don't have heartworms anymore, have been *gulp* "tutored", and am learning my manners. I'm UTD on vaccines and get one of those pill things every month for heartworms.
*I have a blog that foster mum promises she'll update on a regular basis- check it out at www.lwrhendrix.blogspot.com
Thanks for reading!
Keep it real-
Hendrix

TEASE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
A LITTLE ABOUT TEASE.

I "found" Tease while driving home on my lunch break. There was a bit of a backup on the bridge I drive over everyday and then I saw why- there was a little dog being smashed in between a car tire and the wall of the bridge! I stopped, scooped her up, and took her back to work. Luckily, she came through the incident with only a few minor scratches and scared out of her mind. Upon further observance, it was easy to see that Tease had been living outside and not fed very well or often. She also had major confidence issues and was happiest hiding from everyone and slinking around on her belly. It also looks like her tail had been broken at some point in her life. Needless to say, she wasn't chipped and no one came looking for her.
Tease has grown and matured so much in the last few months that it's hard for me to believe that she's the same pup I found! Her weight is up, she loves to play with her housemates, she's so much more confident in new situations and around new people- and she's learning to play with TOYS! Tease is around 1 year old now, spayed, heartworm negative, and becoming a well rounded and trained pup! If you're interested in finding out more about Tease, please contact renee.sara@gmail.com or cdtbullyrescue@aol.com

TEASE LIKES...

*to lick toes
*to SWIM!
*to play rough
*to romp in the fields
*to destroy tennis balls
*to EAT!
*to steal items and hide them in unsuspecting places
*to cuddle
*to help you clean the refrigerator and un-plant plants in the garden
*to go on short walks in the neighborhood
*to play interactive games and train
* to tackle her big foster brother, Hendrix

With more confidence and training, Tease could also be a kickass agility partner, lure coursing hound, or maybe even a flyball girl or dock dog!
