V is the Weimaraner who started it all. Though she had a rough start to her life, she has proven herself over and over again to be the perfect companion for me, a superb hunting dog, and a truly versatile Weimaraner. Vera hails from Windward Weimaraners and is a powerhouse of personality. Not only is she a beautiful and sound bitch, but she also has a fierce determination and die hard work ethic that I appreciate more and more each day. I hadn't planned on keeping Neva beyond fostering her for LWR, but sometimes things happen that feel right even if you don't understand them at first. Neva is a strong and loyal dog who has pushed me beyond my sanity limit, but given me back so much more. Neva is a wonderful hunting companion and takes all game- whether furred or feathered, as a very serious matter. While Neva and I are still adjusting to each other, I know she was meant to be a permanent part of our crew.
Dylan also hails from Windward Weimaraners, and only lives with our gang on a part time basis. Dylan has been retired from the field circuit for a few years now and has been enjoying every moment of comfort. After helping raise his daughter and grand-daughter (Vera), Dylan decided that his time was best spent on my parents couch, boating at the lake, riding in the old pickup, and patrolling their woods and fields for birds and intruders.
